About
Isaiah 55:11
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
My name is Lucy Stevens

I am the Founder of Lucis Poetry.
I believe in the power of poetry to convey the message of the Gospel and inspire hearts. My collection is a reflection of the beauty and depth found in the Bible. I aim to ignite a passion by sharing the Gospel through poetic and artistic expression.
I've worked in many fields throughout my life, from Marketing to Ghostwriting, Project Management to Blogging, Financial Services to the Charity Sector. I’ve worn numerous hats: Wife, Mum, Foster Carer, Church Leader, Homemaker, Company Director, Volunteer, Executive Assistant – my frame has accommodated them all at one point or another.
MY WHY
I have a longing to help people understand the transformative love God has for us all, which we can clearly see in Jesus. The God I know is a creative God who seeks a relationship with each and every one of us. This is why I created Lucis poetry, a collection of compelling poetry that allows the reader to immerse themselves in the Biblical scenes they depict. I want the reader to go deeper into the encounters we read about in the Bible and to grasp their relevance to us today.
MY HOPE
My hope is that the poetry entices people to find out more about Jesus and the transformation his love brings. For those of you who already follow Jesus, I want Lucis poetry to encourage you to use your creative gifts to share the gospel and introduce your communities to Jesus. I want you to be ignited to share your gifts for the gospel!
I have never learned how to be a poet. My poetry has been inspired through time spent reading the bible and praying.
No, I’ve never learned to be a poet, and maybe you haven’t either...
and yet here we are…
